For those who are interested in participating in the next Harvest Hope Project, please meet at Harvest Hope on Shop Rd at 4pm on November 12th. THIS WEDNESDAY!!
I just donated at The 4th Annual Main Street Battle for Blood at the Agapé Conference Center on Main Street and I ran into fellow Rotarian, Michael Kohn.
Hope a lot of Columbia Rotarians were able to roll up their sleeves and donate today. If anyone got some good photos for the website, please send them my way! (firstname.lastname@example.org) Have a great weekend, everyone!
If you attended the meeting last Monday and took home a Salvation Army Clothing Donation bag or two (or twelve), don’t forget to stuff it with clothing items you no longer need or wear and bring the bag to Rotary on Monday, November 10th. The Salvation Army will have trucks available to take those items off your hands! If you’ve switched the seasons in your closet, this is a perfect time to donate!
On Monday, November 3, 2014, Stuart Andrews, an attorney with Nelson Mullins, will address the club. Mr. Andrews will focus on the mental health programs within the SC Department of Corrections. In June 2014, Mr. Andrews, representing inmates with severe mental illnesses, testified during the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee’s Subcommittee on the Constitution, Civil Rights, and Human Rights on their treatment in South Carolina prisons. Please make plans to attend and remember that guests are welcomed and encouraged! Hope everyone has a happy and safe Halloween! Watch out for all those little ghosts and goblins.
