Harvest Hope Project 

If you’re interested in donating some of your time to help feed the hungry in our community, you can help package food for donation and distribution at Harvest Hope Food Bank on September 17th from 3-5 PM.  For more information, contact Laine Ligon (laine@bollinligon.com) or John Bakhaus (JohnB@LongcreekPlantation.com).

October Social:  Pig Pickin’

Your social committee is working on a fun event for October 7th.  Please make plans to attend.  More details will follow in the next few days but here’s a hint:  Robert Goings is cooking a pig and we’re going to “pick at it” while we enjoy some Rotary fellowship.

August 11th: Todd Ellis, #200 and Bird is the word!!!

todd_picWe’ve got an exciting program planned on Monday, August 11th.  Todd Ellis, announcer for the USC Gamecocks,  will speak to the club about the upcoming college football season and give us an update on Carolina Football.

Don’t forgot our goal of #200.  August is Membership Month and President John has challenged us to have a meeting attendance of 200 on Monday.  As always, guests are welcomed and encouraged.  We hope to see a lot of new faces at the meeting on Monday.

2013-2014 Columbia Rotary Club Rotarian of the Year

On June 23, 2014, Hal Stevenson recognized Kerry Powers as the Columbia Rotary Club’s 2013-2014 Rotarian of the Year.  Kerry took on the management and redesign of the club’s website and social media platforms in October 2013 and has worked with the board to keep Columbia Rotarians and the public better informed of events and happenings within the club.

Quick reminder Monday’s meeting will be at Agape at 1624 Main Street (in the block between Taylor and Laurel Streets).  Click here  for parking instructions and directions to meeting room.  Any parking on the second level or above can be done at no charge.  Any handicap parking can park on first level for no charge.
